A 16-year-old boy, Kuzumi Hiroshi, started to live in a new town of Jouga that is located in the mountains and is famous for its hassaku citrus and the rumors of a species of enormous wolves that once lived in the area. The town is separated into the new and old streets by the river, and many mysterious local cultures still remain. Although confused and enjoying his new life, one person kept her distance from him: class committee member Kushinada Nemuru. In their few encounters she gave him a word of advice: "Stay away from the old streets".

What is over there?... Together with a mixture of mystery and terror.

.hack Series

.hack (pronounced "dot-hack") is a Japanese multimedia franchise that encompass two projects; Project .hack and .hack Conglomerate. Both projects were primarily created/developed by CyberConnect2, and published by Bandai. The series is still ongoing, with a new manga series recently announced.

The series takes place mainly within "The World", an MMORPG published and maintained by the CyberConnect Corporation, known as the CC Corporation. Players interact with The World using Virtual reality headsets called FMDs (Face-mounted display) and controllers. The World is comprised of a cluster of different servers distributed around the world. When players log in, they materialize in the Root Town of the server they last used. Root Towns are central areas in the game where players can socialize, create parties, and do business with other players and NPCs. Each server in The World has its own unique Root Town. They are the starting and ending point of any gaming session. In order to properly log out of the game, the player must be in a Root Town. Each Root Town has a Chaos Gate, a large revolving ring used to transport players to areas or other servers. To transport to an Area, a series of three keywords must be entered. These keywords determine such parameters as difficulty, terrain, and weather amongst other things. Most keyword combinations result in an Area with a field and a dungeon.

Each area features a large boundless expanse of terrain of finite size characterized by its open air environment and lack of living civilization. Typically most structures in the fields are the ruins of some long ancient dwellings, or the bones of some massive creature. They contain dungeons, which are labyrinths containing two to five descending levels of interconnected rooms. It contains a single entrance/exit that links the first level to the field and a single stairway between levels. The deepest level of the dungeon contains a special room known for the distinctive floating figure, known as a Gott Statue, behind a golden treasure chest.

Tsukasa is a detached and introverted character that has a number of mysteries about his player character. Many weird happenings seem to suround Tsukasa and his involvement in a rare item called 'The Key Of The Twilight' sparks Tsukasa'a meeting with different online characters and the befriending of their real life counterparts; All without ever meeting face to face in reality. What is strange about Tsukasa is that he can't seem to log out of The World. Subaru and Silver Knight of The Crimson Knights continue to look for proof of why Tsukasa can not log out or the existance of The Key Of The Twilight. Meanwhile Bear, Mimiru, and BT as Tsukasa's friends try to help him understand who he really is and how he can return to the real world.

On the first day of high school a beautiful girl named Haruhi Suzumiya introduces herself as having "no interest in ordinary humans". When Kyon comments about Haruhi's joining every club in school and then quitting he unwittingly gives Haruhi an idea to start her own after school club. Thereafter Kyon and several others find themselves dragged, literally, into the Save our world by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade (the S.O.S. Brigade for short).

Touka Gettan is set in the land of Kamitsumihara, where traces of magic and legend can still be seen. The land has been under the protection of the Kamiazuma clan since it was founded. Their meeting sets off a chain of events that will bring an ancient legend to life.
