Shugo Chara! Series

Shugo Chara!, also known as My Guardian Characters, is a Japanese shoujo manga series created by the manga author duo, Peach-Pit. It won the 2008 Kodansha Manga Award for best children's manga. Shugo Chara! has also been adapted into a fifty-one episode anime television series of the same title produced by Satelight under the direction of Kenji Yasuda and debuted on October 6, 2007 on TV Tokyo. On July 20, 2008, Anime News Network reported that the Shugo Chara! anime would be continued for a second year under the title Shugo Chara!! Doki—, the first episode airing on October 10, 2008; the official anime website later announced an October 4, 2008 start date. On October 3, 2009, Shugo Chara! began featuring another series. Every child has an egg in their heart, unseen at first, an egg with the would-be self of their dreams. Hinamori Amu, part of a group called the Guardians, protect those eggs from becoming X-eggs, eggs filled with resentment and resignation that gives children troubles. Amu's job is to capture and restore X-eggs to their orginal form. She does this with the help of her three Shugo Chara (guardian characters or her would-be selves); Ran, Miki and Su. Thanks to them she can change her character and abilities, and so fight against the mysterious organization Easter which aim is to find a special egg called Embryo using the X-eggs.

Due to everyone but Yaya graduating at the end of the year Tsukasa appears and announces that a new transfer student is being made a Guardian Apprentice. The student is non other than Hikaru. Rikka finds out and begs Amu and Nagihiko to let her be one too. They agree.

Fushigi Yuugi Series

Fushigi Yuugi is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuu Watase. It was originally serialized in Shoujo Comic from May 1992 through June 1996. The manga series was given an English language release in North America by Viz Media, which started in 1999. Spanning eighteen volumes, Fushigi Yuugi tells the story of two teenaged girls, Miaka and Yui, who are pulled into "The Universe of the Four Gods", a mysterious book at the National Library.

The series became very popular and was later adapted into a 52 episode anime series by Studio Pierrot. The series originally aired from April 6, 1995 through March 28, 1996 on the anime satellite channel Animax and the regular cable channel TV Tokyo. The anime series was followed by three Original Video Animation(OVA) releases, with the first having three episodes, the second having six, and the final OVA, Fushigi Yuugi Eikoden, spanning four episodes.

Aya, however, can switch back, so this transformation happens quite frequently. With protector Yuuhi by her side, it is up to Aya to control Ceres and keep her from coming back, but her relationship with an ex-worker for her evil grandpa may be a distraction.
